Discover how to properly prep for a Spray Tan to ensure flawless results every time at Fountain Medical Aesthetics.


  •  Exfoliate: 24hrs prior to your appointment exfoliate your entire body to remove dead skin cells ensuring your spray tan applies evenly and doesn't stick to rough rough patches! We recommend using an exfoliating mitt. 
  • Remove Unwanted Hair: Both shaving and waxing should be done 24 hrs. prior to your scheduled appointment. Hair removal performed after your appointment can strip the tanning solution from your skin. 
  • Arrival: Arrive to your appointment in loose clothing, completely clean + free of any makeup, deodorant or oils. Ingredients in these can also interfere with the spray tan adhering to your skin.

Get the most out of your Spray Tan service to ensure up to 10 day results every time at Fountain Medical Aesthetics. 


  • Rinse: Wait 8 hrs. after your appointment to take a shower. Use warm water and natural body wash only. Avoid harsh scrubbing or exfoliation. Pat yourself dry no harsh rubbing of the skin. 
  • Avoid: Sweating, getting wet, tight fitting clothing, deodorant, perfume, makeup until the tan is fully developed. 
  • Moisturize: Keep your body hydrated by moisturizing 2x's a day.
  • What Strips away your Tan: Chlorine, hot tubs, hot showers, shaving, dove soap, exfoliating. Be cautious of what can take away your tan before you're ready!
