If you’re new to professional facials, the Fountain Facial is the natural starting point. It’s our classic therapeutic treatment — a full cleanse, exfoliation, extractions, and hydration in one session.
It gives your skin (and you) a chance to experience what a proper facial feels like without jumping straight to a corrective treatment. Many clients make it their regular baseline.
If you’re dealing with a specific concern — dullness, congestion, uneven texture, or skin that just hasn’t responded to your at-home routine — the DiamondGlow is worth a serious look. It’s not a standard facial. The patented diamond-tip wand exfoliates, extracts, and infuses corrective serums simultaneously, addressing the surface and what’s underneath it in a single treatment. Clients who’ve tried other facials without dramatic results are often surprised by what DiamondGlow does differently.
If your schedule is tight but your skin still needs attention, the Express Facial was built for you. Thirty minutes, no shortcuts on the essentials — dermaplaning, cleansing, extractions, and a hand treatment. It’s not a lesser version of the Fountain Facial; it’s a different tool for a different situation.

What to Expect at Your Facial Appointment
A professional facial is a different experience from anything you can replicate at home — and if it’s your first time, knowing what to expect makes it easier to relax and get the most out of it.
Before: If you have specific skin concerns, jot them down before you come in. Congestion, sensitivity, recent breakouts, products you’re currently using — all of it is useful context. Your aesthetician will review your skin before the treatment begins and may adjust the approach based on what she sees.
During: Most facials at Fountain are performed on a warmed bed, which sets the tone immediately. Extractions are part of most treatments — they can involve brief discomfort, but nothing that isn’t worth it. If anything feels uncomfortable beyond that, say so. A good aesthetician adjusts in real time.
After: Your skin may look a little flushed immediately post-treatment — that’s normal and typically resolves within a few hours. If extractions were involved, you might see minor redness around those areas for a day or so. Avoid heavy makeup right after, and keep your skin clean and lightly moisturized while it settles.
A note on the “purge” question — some clients, especially after their first DiamondGlow or chemical peel, notice a brief period where their skin seems to be clearing out. This is your skin doing exactly what it should. It passes, and what’s on the other side is the happy result.
Maintenance: Most clients see the best results with regular appointments — typically every 4–6 weeks. Your aesthetician can recommend a cadence based on your skin and your goals.

It’s also a good baseline for your aesthetician to understand your skin before recommending next steps.
What's the difference between DiamondGlow and a regular facial?
A traditional facial works primarily on the surface. DiamondGlow combines exfoliation, extraction, and serum infusion in a single simultaneous process using a patented diamond-tip wand — so it’s addressing texture, congestion, and hydration at the same time. It’s a meaningful step up for clients who want more targeted results.
Will extractions hurt?
Briefly, sometimes — especially if there’s congestion that hasn’t been addressed professionally before. Most clients find it manageable, and the discomfort is temporary. Your aesthetician will work at a pace that’s appropriate for your skin, and you can always ask her to adjust.
How soon before an event should I book?
For a first-time facial or DiamondGlow, we recommend at least a week before anything important. Your skin may go through a brief adjustment period, and you want that behind you before a wedding, reunion, or anything you’re photographing for. For regular maintenance appointments, 3–5 days is generally fine.
Do I need to do anything to prepare?
Come with a clean face if you can, and avoid any aggressive at-home treatments — retinol, acids, or exfoliants — for 48 hours before your appointment. If you’ve had any recent skin procedures or are on medications that affect your skin, let us know when you book.
How often should I be getting facials?
Every 4–6 weeks is the standard recommendation — roughly aligned with your skin’s natural renewal cycle. That said, your aesthetician will give you a personalized recommendation based on your skin type, your goals, and the treatments you’re receiving.
